Hiding non-visual components in WO Builder

Q:  How can I show only the UI element (in WebObjects builder) of a reusable
component that comprises of other elements.

Background:  Consider a text field that allows only numeric values and
prompts on error.  That is the re-use component that I'm constructing.  I
achieve this functionality using some JavaScript.
Now, when I use this component in an application, it shows up in WO Builder
as  a huge rectangle that encompasses a WOJavaScript and a WOTextField.
This kills the WYSIWYG feature and makes it hard to visualize the resulting
page, especially when you are building a form with several such "compound
components".
Hence my original question, how can I suppress the WOJavaScript from being
displayed in the WYSIWYG mode?
