Formatting NSGregorianDate to a string.

I'm trying to upgrade a project from WO 3.51 to WO 4.0, but the scripts
don't fix everything. Therefore I have a question:

To format a CalendarDate to a string, I used the method toString() with fx a
parameter ("%d.%m.%Y"). This don't work with GregorianDate. What is the
easiest way to do the same with a GregorianDate?
