WebObjects 1.0 Release Date? History?

Here's a link for a press release for WebObjects dated Dec 1995 -  
intimates a release of March 1996. Dunno if this was version 1, but I  
remember getting hold of WO around March 1996 and doing an internal  
project for BT in this...
