Working with ZIP files (in object-oriented way)

In addition:

Info-ZIP, the parent project of zlib, supports ZIP. (Its goal for 14
years has been to provide full compatibility with PKZIP.) It must
support MacOS at some level, because Info-ZIP's unzip utility is the one
included in MacOS. I suspect you could build a framework from its code

ClamAV, the GPL antivirus program, includes a ZIP decompression library.
It's also not a framework, but it's a starting point.
