How to support Finder preview pane for new application file types

That should definitely be possible. Think of the way the newest version of 
Safari (dynamically) alters the actual icon during downloads, representing the 
progress on the download.

My curiosity is raised. I happen to be a 1st year student of Medicine now. 
Anything you could tell about the project or is that confidential?
