.mac compatible applications

A while ago I believe there was a call for .mac aware applications 
(e.g. allowing to publish data directly on the users .mac homepage).
Is there an Apple TechNote or similar on the best practice to do this? 
Searching ADC with ".mac" does not yield very useful results...

I could surely get it done, but when Apple is asking for such apps 
(unfortunately I burried the eMail somewhere here), they might have 
some ideas what the best way is.
