"The BoF" : MacWorld SF 2001

Stepwise, Cassini Division and BaNG announce "The BoF".


For the last three years or so(*), together with various others I have
organised "Birds of a Feather" meetings at MacWorld and WWDC focussing
primarily on ex-NeXT technologies.  As Apple's new OS strategy has evolved,
so the scope of these meetings has also widened... so noone should now feel
excluded!  :-)

Over the years there has been a wide variety of presentations, some prepared
in advance, some impromptu.  If anyone would like to volunteer at this stage
to make some sort of presentation of general interest to the community (no
blatant sales pitches!), please let me know ASAP.  There is no remuneration,
I'm afraid, just the priceless satisfaction of enlightening a room-full of a
couple of hundred of your peers!

Sponsorship is very welcome -- both for The BoF and for Stepwise's overall
Event Coverage -- as are door prizes!  Please again contact me if you would
like to offer either.

As is traditional (<sigh> :-) we do not at this stage have a venue, or a
definite date.

It looks likely, though, that the event will be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday,
in a room either at the Moscone or at a venue close by.  More details as
soon as we're able to get them.
